This challenge will create an opportunity to practice note taking skills. Through practice, you will learn how to effectively capture and organize information for further use. This challenge will help develop a valuable skill that can be used in all types of situations from school-based projects to everyday tasks. For example, if you wanted to tell someone about a book, you would be able to give a simple list of major points rather than needing to read them the entire book.

  • Pick a topic about which you would like a to create a simple overview
  • Gather information from a variety of sources such as books or websites
  • Organize the gathered information into categories
  • Create a list of sentence fragments that summarize whole paragraphs or pages
  • Develop at least one note taking sheet full of summarizing notes
