π Your Challange
In this challenge, kids use baking soda and vinegar to mimic a volcano! They will learn about chemical reactions and understand the inner workings of a volcano. This experiment should take around 15 minutes to complete and should be done with an adult to supervise. You can create a small volcano out of paper mache or play dough around a cup, or simply use a bottle or cup on a tray.
Place water, baking soda, and dishsoap mixture in the bottle or cup and stir lightly. Place it on a tray or in a sink. Quickly add the vinegar to the mixture and watch your volcano explode!
*If using a bottle, be careful, as it may shoot up quite a bit when the reaction starts!
